It's purely bad manners to sulk over a full plate of turkey, and all the trimmings. This episode was recorded the actual Thanksgiving holiday. There were a couple of explosions at a chemical plant in Port Neches, TX. Followed by a mandatory evacuation for Nederland, Port Neches, and Groves. You will hear the tale in its full form on the podcast. I decided to spend part of my Thanksgiving with you guys. A podcast seemed in order, and I was happy to oblige! Along for the ride, and present here are The Troggs, Fats Domino cooks up a Cajun dish, Gang Starr makes a stop in Houston for some help, The Louvin Brothers were huge influences on the Everly Brothers, who appear, as do The Raincoats, Babs Gonzales, The Clean, The E Street Band and their singer/songwriter, Hayes Carll, Brenda Lee featuring Jimmy Page, Led Zeppelin, Mathew Sweet, and so much more. I wax philosophically on Steve-O, talk a bit about Willie Nelson's song sales days, and much, much more. I hope you all enjoy it, and I'll see ya on # '82!
Happy Holidays, Yo!
